Status Report for Rm224/Lab A, Week of March 8th

Accomplished This Week

• Each team has been assigned a part of the Academics (i.e. Social Studies, Writing, Reading, Life and Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences, Math)
• Lab decided that each team would create a piece of a computer game based on these different parts of Academics and compile it into one homogeneous piece.
  
• Each team has assigned one leader for the following three sub-groups:
• Research and Design
• Graphics Design
• Programming
• Initial research has commenced on the GED
• Initial research has commenced on learning disabilities such as ADD
• Programming group had begun to familiarize themselves with the Game Maker 8 program
• Graphics Design group has begun sketches
• Resources have been collected for further research

Monitoring and Control

• More research done on the GED and what the test entails
• Research done on homeless people and where their problems mostly lie (i.e. learning disabilities)
• Continue the familiarization process with Game Maker 8
  
• Initial Design started
• Concept of the game created
• Make a prototype of a game to learn all the different functions available
• Graphics concept created
  
• Basic sketches of graphics
